Dress Pillows #5

This is the last Dress Pillow that I made as part of a set that was gifted to my niece. I call them Dress Pillows because I made them from literal dresses, as well as tops and sleepsuits that my niece wore as a baby. I came up with the the idea to make these Dress Pillows because I liked that these could be functional and pretty keepsakes as pillows, as opposed to just keeping these baby outfits in a draw or storage box somewhere.

Making these Dress Pillows was very simple. While turned inside-out I sewed the bottom hem shut, then sewed the two sleeves closed. After this I turned the dress right-side-out then stitched the neck line. Before I closed the neck I stuffed the dress with stuffing until full. As with all my makes these were sewn by hand. Again I have to apologise here for the quality of the pictures as I had only minutes to take photos before these were given away.

Magizoology Wallpapers set3 - Mooncalf [or Mooncalves By Moonlight]

The last full moon was one I shall remember for a very long time thanks to these magical creatures. Previously I mentioned my Baby Mooncalf and their older Mooncalf companion that I adopted when they became separated from their herd. But this last full moon my shy little Mooncalves were finally reunited with their friends, and it was such a wondrous sight too see them all reunited and dancing under the full moon.

I decided I should make some desktop wallpapers of Mooncalves By Moonlight. These wallpapers are size 1366x768, which is the size of my own computer, but if other sizes are wanted I can make those too. To download click on the picture of the wallpaper you want and "Save Image As" to save to your computer or alternatively you can select "Set As Desktop Background". Hope you enjoy.

My Little Pony Parasol Inspired Plush

Growing up I owned a My Little Pony, as I suppose most of us did, and so for my young nieces I decided to make some plush My Little Pony toys. In my opinion the newer My Little Pony's are not as cute as the original ones I had as a child, but I admit I could be biased about that. Either way I had fond memories of these sweet little ponies and hope my nieces will enjoy these just as much.

For this particular pony I decided to base it on the My Little Pony character of Parasol. A pink pony with rainbow hair and featuring mini little umbrellas. My previous plush pony was made to resemble the character of Snuzzle, which I chose for its cute little hearts, but this pony was especially chosen as I had often jokingly referred to my niece as "Bella Umbrella".

The pattern for these plush ponies of mine was found online with a google search, and there are plenty of free pony and horses patterns to be found if curious. I hand sewed the pieces separately before attaching the ears and legs to the main body. The legs are fully moveable allowing this pony to either sit or stand and the eyes, umbrellas and name were all embroidered before adding the yarn for the mane and tail.
